About Holiday Vistas
What is Holiday Vistas?
Holiday Vistas is a travel guide site. We publish destination guides, budget tips, family travel advice, digital nomad guides, adventure ideas and seasonal planning help. We cover six areas: Destinations, Digital Nomad, Family Travel, Adventure and Nature, Budget Travel and Seasonal Travel.
Do you sell or book trips?
No. We do not sell tours, flights or hotels. We do not take payments. When you are ready to book, our links take you to a partner's website, and you book there.
Who writes your articles?
Our editorial team writes every article under a pen name. Each byline is a pen name, not a real traveler. We say this on every article page. Our authors do not claim to have visited a place or tried a service. The About Us page and each author's profile explain this.
Why do you use pen names?
Pen names let one editorial team cover different topics with a consistent voice for each. We state it openly so you never have to guess. You get research-based guides, not made-up personal stories.
Trust and accuracy
How do you research your articles?
We use official tourism boards, government travel advisories, transport operators and other public sources. Each article links to the sources it relies on.
Are the prices in your articles current?
Prices change often. Where an article shows a price, it shows the date of that price. Check the provider's site before you book.
How do I report a mistake?
Email the author. Click the author's name on the article to open their profile, where you will find their email address. We review every report and correct errors we confirm.
Are your safety tips enough on their own?
No. They are general information. Always check your government's travel advisory and local rules before you travel.
Money and links
How does Holiday Vistas make money?
Some links on our site are affiliate links. If you click one and book, we may earn a commission. It costs you nothing extra. We currently work with Viator, Agoda and GoWithGuide.
Do affiliate links change what you recommend?
No. We recommend a service only when the article supports it. We never invent a partner offer, price or availability.
Are your images real photos?
Some are and some are not. Photos of specific places, such as featured locations and suggested location pages, are real. Other images are AI-generated illustrations that may not show the real place. An illustration is not proof of how a place looks today.
Newsletter and privacy
How do I subscribe to the newsletter?
Use the signup form on our About Us page or at the end of an article. We send a confirmation email. Click the button in it to finish. We add you to our list only after you confirm.
How do I unsubscribe?
Click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any newsletter. It takes effect right away.
What do you do with my data?
We use it to send the newsletter and reply to your emails. We do not sell it. Our Privacy Policy lists what we collect and the providers we use.
